Who We Are
Established leaders in Specification Consulting
Who We Are
Earlymark is the nexus where innovative design meets precise specifications. With 45 years of combined expertise, we redefine the art of architectural specifications, making the complex simple for Architects globally.
Experience Matters
Earlymark’s leadership triumvirate – Will, Nick and Asanka – boasts a collective partnership through various companies for over 15 years (but still don’t finish each other’s sentences).
We take pride in being Australia’s only specification consultancy that can boast of such a longstanding, unified partnership.
During that time, we’ve had the privilege of specifying over $100Bil worth of capital expenditure without litigation. A testament to the expertise and commitment to our clients.
Meet the team
experts in specifications
Will Hamlyn-Harris
Will has always had a passion for building and design improvements, from the early days of constructing fish traps as a 6yo in Vanuatu or various cubby houses that had to be multiple stories and liveable, which could handle the attacks from neighbouring cubby house tribes.
Will continued this passion into his adult profession, studying Environmental Design and a Bachelor of Architecture, before becoming a registered Architect of NSW and an A+ member of the AIA. He has since enjoyed the roles as a Project Architect and then as a Specification Consultant since 2006.
Will enjoys the personal relationships built with Clients, analysing processes and challenges to find the best solutions and sharing his specific knowledge of specifications, scheduling, coding and procurement alignment.
Outside of work Will can be found trying not to think about work, chasing one of his kids, travelling and enjoying any sport with family and friends.
Nick Kunzli
Nick’s love of the construction industry started when he built the family deck at age 13. He still remembers arguing with his father about having to dig out the minimum 400mm ground clearance.
Working in different roles ranging from design, construction and project management, solidified his love for the technicalities, but more so in the human connection that comes with overcoming the difficulties of the technical aspects that design and construction entails.
Nick is passionate about client management, and his people-orientated approach is one that keeps his client’s and team’s interests foremost in his decision-making process.
Outside of work, Nick can be found at the beach, on the jiujitsu mats, or coaching one of his three kid’s multiple sporting teams.
Asanka DeSilva
Asanka’s curiosity about how things function started at a young age, and his family still continues to figure out how Asanka works to this day. He would often take apart whatever he could get his hands on, to understand how things are built and how they function. As you can imagine it didn’t translate well with his family and friends.
This curiosity continued well into adult life and enabled him to explore more in the fields of Engineering and Architecture. Upon graduating with a Diploma in Architecture and a bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Architecture in Australia and the UK, Asanka worked as a Project Architect and specification consulting, putting his passion and skills to work.
Asanka has an innovative approach to problem-solving (“wife doesn’t seem to think so”), which combines artistic sensibilities with real-world mechanics. He enjoys creating personal connections with people and goes above and beyond to ensure their needs are met.
Outside of work, Asanka enjoys various activities such as survival training, Jujitsu, and coaching his kid’s team sports and tries not to blow himself up with his experiments.
